Baileys can be easily mixed with all manner of beverages to make a simple, creamy drink. The only rule is to avoid citrus or anything with a lot of citric acid, which makes it curdle. That means avoid juices and soda.
Now, you'll notice that this homemade drink contains dairy. This means that once you've made it, proper storage is key or you won't get to keep enjoying the drink for long. As a general rule of thumb, you can store your freshly made Irish cream for up to two months in the refrigerator.
When stored in the right conditions, an opened bottle can last for up to two years. The key to preserving Baileys quality after opening lies in storing it correctly. To maximize its time, store the opened bottle in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. A cupboard or liquor cabinet are ideal locations.
Baileys and vodka go so well together, and Baileys and coffee is already a classic mix! It's so simple to make at home. In just three easy steps, you'll have a show-stopping co*cktail that'll treat your friends – or why not add a touch of decadence to your group's movie night?
The key thing to remember when experimenting with Molly's Irish Cream drinks recipes is that cream liquors do not mix well with citrus based ingredients.
Manufacturers of cream liqueurs point to the effective preservative qualities of alcohol as the reason that refrigeration is not required. Baileys™ guarantees it's product for 2 years from the date of manufacture, opened or unopened, and suggests a storage temperature range of 0-25˚Celsius.
Does Bailey's Irish Cream go bad or expire? Generally as long as you don't subject it to temperature extremes it will last well beyond the official 2 year "best taste before" date. Over time the taste will change and the liquid tends to go a bit darker but only really noticeable if you do a side by side comparison.
Avoid curdling – I did some research as to ensure a life free of curdling and it's all about adding the alcohol slowly and being sure to use heavy cream. Alcohol is an acid so making irish cream with, say, whole milk will definitely break the milk, which could result in some serious coagulation.
One of life's most pleasurable indulgences, Baileys Original Irish Cream is the sweetest meeting of fine Irish whiskey and spirits, Irish dairy cream, and rich chocolate and vanilla flavors. The result? Complete deliciousness.
Yes, and very badly. It's high proof with sugar. I nearly sent a friend to the hospital getting her a one liter bottle of Bailey's. She drank the whole thing at one go thinking it was like soda pop.
How long does Baileys last? Baileys Original lasts 2 years from the day of bottling, opened or unopened when stored at the optimum temperature (0 to 25°C/32 to 77°F). For other Baileys products, shelf life varies depending on the flavour.
B&B is a classic co*cktail that combines the rich, creamy flavors of Bailey's Irish Cream with the robust and bold taste of brandy. This decadent drink originated in the 1970s ... more. This decadent drink originated in the 1970s as a nod to the popular brandy and Benedictine co*cktail known as the B&B.
Baileys White Russian – A classic Baileys and vodka co*cktail
Fun fact: even though you might think the drink originates from Russia (the clue is in the name, right?), in fact it was created in Brussels, Belgium! It was called a White Russian because it uses vodka, which is traditionally associated with Russia.
Bailey's Irish Cream served with cherries and unsalted nuts. You need your protein and fiber when you're drinking that much sugar! Irish whiskey and cheese - lots of cheese - and Irish soda bread! Try the tangy Cashel Blue cheese, or the sheep's milk version Crozier Blue.
Irish cream liqueur is wonderfully versatile. It's so rich and full of flavour, so one of the best ways to drink it is straight or over ice, and just savour the taste of the liqueur. It's also great as an ingredient in shooters, co*cktails and warm drinks like coffee and hot chocolate.
The liqueur can stick to the pipes and block the U bend under your sink, preventing liquid from passing through. An overflowing sink is not exactly what you want on Christmas Day (and let's not get started on the plumber call-out fee). Cream liqueur should be disposed of like any other fats and oils.
One of life's most pleasurable indulgences, Baileys Original Irish Cream is the sweetest meeting of fine Irish whiskey and spirits, Irish dairy cream, and rich chocolate and vanilla flavors. The result? Complete deliciousness.
