We'll meet again someday Nijika
Heaven For Death is a Bocchi the Rock! RPG and light novel fan game created by S_RefriGE.
You play as an Amnesiac Ryo, who died and somehow, she is in Heaven Ryo is greeted by his guardian angel who is Nijika Ijichi (Under the name "Shimokitazawa").
In the beginning, everything is fine until "That person" (God) tells Nijika that Ryou is a sinner. Nijika will try to prove her innocence while Ryo will have to convince 100 souls to reincarnate.
Heaven For Death provides examples of:
- Accidental Murder: A conversation implies that a man died because his favorite vocalist threw a bottle of sake at him.
- Benevolent Boss: It's implied with "That person" (God), despite being strict, always keeps his promises and congratulates his employees or angels if they do a good job.
- Bittersweet Ending: The "Normal ending" and "Happy ending":
- In the "Normal ending", Ryo manages to reincarnate all the souls but we are never told what happened to Bocchi.
- In the "Happy ending", Ryo is forgiven of her sins, and they discover that Hitori (the last reincarnated soul) was saved from her fate and lived a long and happy life with Kita. Ryo remembers Nijika's name and can be reincarnated but her memories will be erased again, while Nijika only has the consolation that one day they will meet again.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: In a scene where we visit those who refuse to reincarnate, in a room there is a sheep, which we understand because it speaks in parentheses, Ryo wonders why she understands it.
- Downer Beginning: The game starts with Hitori trapped in a fire, lamenting that "Senpai's" dreams will never come true.
- Downer Ending: The "Bad ending", although it's more like a Game Over. In Episode 3, Nijika decides to go down to Earth for a while to see if everyone is okay even though it is against the rules of Heaven. When time runs out, you can choose whether or not Nijika returns. If you have Nijika stay, That person (God) will punish Nijika by locking her in a time loop.
- Driven to Suicide: Ryo and Bocchi committed charcoal burning that caused the fire that we see in the beginning. Bocchi survived, but Ryo did not.
- Fallen Angel: Nijika used to be an angel who disobeyed that person (God) by changing the fate of a child (something angels of her rank cannot do without permission). As punishment, she was sent to Earth with her memories erased under the name Nijika Ijichi. She regained her wings after a test from That person (God), but the memories that everyone had of her were erased.
- Insane Troll Logic: Ryo thinks that she was a bassist when she was alive after she saw some music magazines because all the characteristicss of a bassist fits her perfectly
- Jerkass Has a Point: Ryo says that sometimes lying is necessary, and while Nijika and That person (God) agree that her methods of convincing souls to reincarnate are deplorable, they do not deny that it has worked.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Ryo may be a cheat and a liar who frequently breaks promises, but she cares about Nijika and comforts her.
- Mood Whiplash: In a scene from chapter 1, if Ryo looks through a magazine, she will say that maybe she was a bassist in her life. At first Nijika thinks that Ryo is remembering... until Ryo says she was a bassist because she has a bassist's face. Nijika is not pleased.
Ryou: This is just what I've been thinking, but I was a bassist, wasn't I? Probably... Even if that's wrong, I feel like I've at least learned how to play the bass.
"Shimokitazawa": (Ryou, have you...)
Ryou: I mean look, all the characteristics of a bassist printed in this magazine fit me perfectly.
"Shimokitazawa": ...Ryou, do you know what the 3 B's to never date are?
Ryou: Beauticians, Band members, and Bartenders?
"Shimokitazawa": Bassists, bassists, and bassists!! - Secret Test of Character: Nijika died hit by a truck while trying to save a cat, It was a test from that person (God)
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Not so much why she sucks, but Ryo tells Nijika that the reason she is unhappy is because she never lets go of the past.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Nijika scolds Ryo for lying to a little girl that if she were reincarnated, she would be able to reunite with her parents, Ryo defends herself that sometimes lying is necessary.
