SAUSAGE AND APPLES

It must be the Eastern European in me, I LOVE cabbage and pork sausages! This easy one-pan meal is pure comfort food. Something my German Grandmother would definitely approve of. {But she would’ve found a way to add an obscene amount of butter!} My version is a filling, nutritious and super flavorful meal. Quality sweet pork sausages, red cabbage, apples and a sweet/tangy sauce.

This would make a great St. Patrick’s Day dinner. A meaty dish that is full of cabbage and enjoy with a beer!

Is there anything better than a dinner that you just toss together in one pan then bake!?!? Easy, delicious and doesn’t leave a sink full of dishes! Win. Win. Win.

Change up your boring weekday menu with this unique dish. Enjoy!

What a fantastic recipe. Our family love sausages and I often cook them with apples. Adding in the red cabbage is genius. Sammie.

Hi Gorgeann. Thanks for asking, I forgot to add that into the recipe. It is now updated with the information. The foil should be removed after 30 minutes. Thanks again!

I’ve had pork chops and applesauce, but not tried sausage and apples. I bet that the added apple butter to the sausage was really good!

I don’t usually comment on the recipes that I make. If I’m being honest, I usually forget where they came from or lose the link after I make them. I just finished eating this one and HAD to come sing it’s praises!!!! This was so easy and so tasty!! I thought I had horseradish, but did not, so I left it out. That was the only change I made. This was sweet and salty and tangy and a really nice weeknight meal on a chilly fall evening. Kudos!!! Will def be making this one again!
